2019’s Concert Series of Antonín Petrof

It took almost two decades for the famous Viennese pianist and piano restorer Gert Hecher to realise in his life that his two hands could not suffice to manage the vast increase in the number of orders. However, he found a kind support in the Czech-Macedonian pianist Ema Jedlička Gogova and a truly characterful duo was established with focus on 19th century salon music. The Liszt-Faust Symphony project, together with its authorial modification for two grand pianos, a tenor and a male voice choir, offers a unique experience that will sound the equally unique spaces of PETROF Gallery—the venue that is to present the Czech premiere of this opus.

Immerse yourself into the depths of Czech poetry composed of works from the 1st half of the 20th century together with a thematically corresponding selection of compositions by Czech and world-famous musical composers. Your guide through the evening will be the voice of the beautiful and elegant Dana Morávková, who will speak to the piano accompaniment by the audience’s darling Matyáš Novák.
The Unique Bach and Four Pianos

Become part of one of the most significant events in PETROF Gallery, which was last presented to the world ten years ago in the Brno Conservatory. This time, the walls of PETROF Gallery will feel the sound of four grand pianos at once on which two very well-known duos—Duo PETROF and Duo EGIA—will perform their art. Each duo will first give an individual performance, after which the ladies will present compositions for three pianos. The evening will come to its conclusion with four grand pianos being played in unison.
