Program
You can look forward to the most successful and desired project by Pavel Šporcl with the pianist Petr Jiříkovský and the GIPSY WAY ENSEMBLE, performing at the second half of the evening.

Pavel Šporcl
Pavel Šporcl is a world-known violin virtuoso. He is a very significant and important artistic person. This Laureate of various prominent violin competitions is presumably the most popular Czech artist of classical music these days. He performs on Czech and Worldwide podiums and festivals. What his audience loves the most is his informal performances and outfits with which he tries to get as close to the audience as possible. You may know his “pirate” headscarf. He had his violin made in the original blue colour. Besides his fans, the music also pleases the ears of music critics. Almost all his albums were awarded the title Platinum Plate.

Petr Jiříkovský
Petr Jiříkovský is a grand pianist and a conductor. He is one of the most significant Czech artists of the middle generation. As a soloist, he co-operates with various orchestras and conductors. Also, he performs with his recital programs. Besides the Trio Martinů, he collaborates with other artists, for example, violinists Pavel Šporcl or Shlomo Mintz. Lastly, from 2008, he focuses on his professional conducting activity.

Gipsy Fire
Over 20 000 sold tickets and over 220 concerts in their home country and worldwide (France and China included). Two great tours sold out the Lucerna Hall. This is only a small part of such a successful project as the album “Gipsy Way.” It is the most popular and most wanted project of Pavel Šporcl with gipsy dulcimer band the Gipsy Way and Gipsy Fire Ensemble. In 2008, This was the first album by Pavel Šporcl and his Hungarian band. After six years, he and Supraphon, they arranged two concerts in the legendary Domovina studio, which contributed to the creation of the new “Gipsy Fire” album. Catchy and melancholic movie soundtracks intertwine with several technically extreme performances of compositions from the “Gypsy” repertoire.
