PETROF Concert
We invite you to the concert of a famous Czech cellist Michaela Fukačová and her piano partner David Mareček at the PETROF Gallery. The program of the concert consists of compositions that shaped the extraordinary musical career of Michaela Fukačová with the symbolic name “My musical home”. You can look forward to the compositions by Antonín Dvořák, Josef Suk and Leoš Janáček.

Michaela Fukačová
Michaela Fukačová is a Czech cellist living in Denmark since 1985. She graduated from Conservatory Brno at Bedřich Havlík and Prague Faculty of Music (Academy of Performing Arts) at Alexander Večtomov. She also studied privately at M. Rostropovic. As a solo player she is invited to cooperate by leading orchestras e.g., Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Danish Radio Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra etc. and prestigious conductors e.g., Gerd Albrecht, Jiří Bělohlávek, Valerij Gergijev and others.
David Mareček
David Mareček is a Czech music teacher and pianist. He graduated from the Conservatory Brno in piano and conducting. He is a sought-after chamber musician, as evidenced, for example, by successful performances with famous cellists Alisa Weilerstein, Václav Petr and Gautier Capuçon, an award-winning recording of Schubert´s Winter Journey with bassist Jan Martiník or concerts with the Jerusalem String Quartet (Israel) and the Dover Quartet (USA).
