Silent Stories

“Realism is boring,” said, for sure, a great number of unknown artists across all genres.

This is not a truthful statement considering we have such a great number of all kinds of realistic art. They are often pleasing, beautiful or even appealing. However, they catch everyone‘s eye just to get bored and move somewhere else.

I am not fond of the artistic splatters. However, I know I should say I do not understand art. Yes. I do not like when the art gives me a disgusted smirk. I remember a piece where there was only a green line on the white surface. Shocking! Maybe there was some extra line. I don’t recall, it’s been more than twenty years since I saw it. It certainly affected me.

TV commentators wished for our screen and sound to be the best. Well, I agree with it in case of commentaries and documents, but otherwise, I do not support the perfection or clarity and purity of colors. It is not that important. Maybe, it even stands in a way, concerning a person’s inner, hidden and unconscious feelings, which serve us on a path through our world and life without even knowing.

Sanity has everything vivid, clear and precise. However, the world nor life is like that, and neither are we. I would like to look inside of every person to address them with my paintings, awaken, provoke, or just to tease their mind. For “us” to stop crouching somewhere in the dark corner of our unconsciousness and proudly show what lays inside. I would like to create art on which we can look for hundreds of times and always see something different. Our subconsciousness does not create vivid images, good sound, bright colors nor perfect shapes. Nothing accurate nor perfect comes out of our minds. Yet, still, the best, the most interesting and new thoughts come from inside, for example, thoughts, pictures, ideas or plans. I’m just at the beginning, though my age says otherwise. I have been a photographer for many years now, but I feel like starting over because I got a great new camera for my 50th birthday. I am doing my best.

Someone might say that such photos can be taken with digital or any ordinary device. That is right. But for me, the picture is just a sketch, an artwork, a motive, or a theme to which I just “write” a story, a song, or a ballad. Without any words, made only for your eyes.
