After a successful and hopelessly sold out tour in 2016, Swing’s Christmas with his soloists and a fantastic big band this year.
The two-hour concert program is accompanied by swing singer Jan Smigmator and the prestigious Thalia winner of the multi-genre singer Dasha, among others, colleagues from the successful Evergreen Club show, which this year celebrated five years on the Český rozhlas Dvojka. Both singers are accompanied by Big Band Felix Slováček, one of the best swing orchestras of the European music scene.
Galaconcert is composed of the famous Christmas evergreens of the golden swing era, including the compositions of Glenn Miller and Countess Basie, the songs of Frank Sinatra, Elly Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Michael Bubble, Barbry Streisand, and pop music in original big band arrangements.
In addition to Jan Smigmator, Dasha and Felix Slováček, Markéta Smejkalová will be featured as a soloist and top saxophonist Markéta Smejkalová, known for various musical projects across genres (Václav Hybš Orchestra, Swinging Q, Sto zvířat, European Youth Jazz Orchestra, etc.) alongside the big band.
