Hradec Králové uncovered the beauty of Czech poetry

The PETROF Gallery’s audience was moved by Czech poetry performed by an excellent Czech actress and moderator Dana Morávková on March 12, 2019. She was accompanied by, a phenomenal pianist, Matyáš Novák.

The musical-literary performance introduced Czech poetry to the audience. Poets of the first half of the 20th century were read with a thematic selection of compositions by Czech and foreign composers. During the evening, there were compositions by Bedřich Smetana, Leoš Janáček, Fryderyk Chopin and others. The literary part included poems by Fráňa Šrámek, Jaroslav Seifert, Jiří Wolker and other world-known poets.
