Weekend in a Jazz Mood
Saturday evening in PETROF Gallery saw a jubilee concert dedicated to the anniversary of 100 years of the republic, which was performed by Jiří Pavlík’s Big Band and the singing of the musical theatre actor Tomáš Savka. The concert included compositions by world-famous personalities of overseas swing and hall jazz, presented in a Czech-style interpretation. The visitors had the opportunity to admire the spaces of PETROF Gallery, which were inspired by the decoration on the topic of the 100th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic.
Petr Malásek, Karel Košárek and the winners of the competition “Pianist of the Year” took the lead on Sunday. The attendants were part of a piano experience interpreted by some of the best pianists. An extra programme had been prepared for the whole weekend that supported the ceremonial atmosphere of the anniversary.
